About BAPAC SD
The San Diego Chapter of the Black American Political Association of California (BAPAC SD) is a visionary movement that works to ensure the Black community in San Diego County remains a relevant economic, social, and political force in Southern California.
BAPAC SD is now separated into two entities, a 501(c)(4) and a 501(c)(3), which allows the organization to expand its civic engagement, lobbying and advocacy efforts, and political endorsement program to be a major stakeholder in SD politics. The 501(c)(3) entity, the BAPAC SD Foundation, is able to raise money and receive tax deductible contributions. The 501(c)(4) entity is the political arm.
It's our mission to work for the maximum effective representations of Black people in the political, economic, and educational systems of San Diego County. BAPAC SD strives to provide a forum for members to identify issues, and find solutions to issues related to jobs, education, and healthcare. We will continue to define ways and means for additional political and community empowerment. BAPAC has numerous community events in San Diego. Get involved with BAPAC by attending our general body meetings each month. Become a member and volunteer with us.
